Condesa was engaged by a global shipping and logistics enterprise with in-house operations in the US and Mexico and outsourced services operations all over the world. Condesa’s initial engagement with the Client focused on assessing existing tax and legal structures as well as the effectiveness of existing accounting procedures.
Condesa began our engagement by performing a thorough review of historical financial activity, intake of all available supporting documentation and reconciliation of all bank accounts. Once this review was complete and results communicated to management, our Firm took control of accounting and bookkeeping activity for the Client’s US business, correcting all necessary historical accounting and ensuring proper bookkeeping into the future.
Additionally, to ensure proper and compliant pricing for transactions with related parties, Condesa performed a comprehensive study of existing economic activity and pricing of services between the Client’s entities. Following this review, Condesa performed an annual Transfer Pricing study to corroborate and support all existing economic activity.
